There are some things the Dubai PR machine would rather keep hushed...

...except they can do nothing when the international press picks up the news.

1) Workers at the Burj Dubai strike over pitiful wages and poor working conditions, causing damage worth over $1 million.

2) Mumbai-bound Emirates flight in near miss incident.

The last para of the near-miss article is interesting though - the ATC prefers to have a much larger separation zone around Russian aircraft...

I am very pleased to see this post because this issue of burj khalifa workers is again in front of me. Burj khalifa is completed but story of its construction is still alive.
