Million Dirham Copycat
After the huge success creative genius Alex Tew's site the Million Dollar Homepage had, a Dubai company now wishes to follow in his footsteps and sell pixels for a dirham each. Knowing how things work in Dubai, I already have an idea how this will turn out.
The site will probably still be under construction, but early investors can put down 10% deposits to buy offplan pixels until the website is ready in two years. Less than twenty four hours after launch, all the pixels will be sold out, and early investors will resell their pixel plots at over double the original price.
Local banks will be alarmed at the huge price increases and refuse to provide loans to people wishing to buy pixels in the secondary market. However, this will largely be due to the fact that there is no federal Pixel Ownership Law in existence.
Eventually, when the site is finished after numerous delays, it will be error prone and problem ridden and there will be massive changes to it that investors weren't told about when they were buying. The site owners will stop answering phone calls, only coming out with a response when their name is tarnished in local papers.
Hang on, hasn't something like this happened before?!

clever post!
deja vu!
cheers

Gave me a laugh, thanks :-)
Oh and don't forget - people buying prime pixels will be escorted to lower-grade fringe pixels when they take delivery of their pixels. Too late, because the prime pixels they bought in good faith have been sold to others, meaning they have to opt for inferior pixels they never bought or wanted in the first place. No compensation, no refunds.
Or the prime pixels have been coveted by the Sheikh!
and buyers discover that pixel specs they were delivered somehow turned out totally different (worse) than the ones were in the brochure
And pixel owners find their pixel maintenance fees have doubled..
Have a look at www.UAEMillionDirhamHomepage.com - just lauched but unlike other sites, there are no prime pixels etc. Pixel logos and site descriptions can be changed periodically and you also get a banner and text based listing (with company info) - the point is to only send targeted visitors from this UAE site to other sites.
I'm impressed with www.UAEMillionDirhamHomepage.com. I might contact them to see if they can reveal site visits.
www.UAEMillionDirhamHomepage.com - I have had a look, not bad.
To the last two people that left a comment, who most likely work for 'the UAE million dirham homepage' - how fking desperate must you be that you feel the need to start spamming on blogs?

what obvious fucking comment plants.
that's pretty low uaemilliondirhamhomepage,
in fact they're spamming a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WEBSITE TO THE ONE MENTIONED,
milliondirhamwebpage is different from uaemillionhirhamhomepage.
wow that is pretty crappy, on UAEMillionDirhamHomepage, you can't even pay with dirhams, it has to be payed in USD/pixel, so exactly what is the point in calling it the million dirham homepage?
i reckon their going for non-UAE markets coz that's the individuality!

Here's another one. www.milliondirhamwebpages.com
This one gets redirected to www.dxbweb.com. They also sell pixels, but the sites are categorized into useful search criteria within Dubai.
