Recently, a Dubai-based real estate company launched an office tower (no doubt amid much fanfare and lots of speculators but very few real homebuyers) in the Jumeirah Lakes development.

Tiffany Realty has launched Tiffany Towers in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers district of Dubai. The towers offer a choice of offices from 800 sq ft and ample parking, recreation deck, high speed elevatotors, prayer area and shopping. Marketing is through Asteco and Atkins is the architect.

However, unbeknownst to them, Tiffany Towers certainly has a reputation already. Will this office tower be modelled after her shapely image?

Meanwhile, in a small island further up the Gulf, reports of Michael Jackson allegedly snapping up a luxury home in the sun were quickly denied by an official source.

"He has no plans at the moment to buy any property here. The reports have all been false."

A great marketing opportunity missed by this tiny kingdom? Regardless, Bahraini parents collectively breathe sighs of relief and loosen the grip on their children.
