Soaring mercury
Today, Gulf News published an article declaring Dubai to be rather hot and dry this time of year. Naturally this news comes as a shock to most of the city's residents.
The mercury crept up to 44.7 degrees Celcius in Dubai and the meteorologists' comfort index hit eight which represents "extremely uncomfortable" conditions.
